Mankato, Minn – The MoonDogs won in extra innings tonight after a walk-off single from shortstop, Nick Novak (Angelo State). CJ Huntley (Indiana State) was the winning run to come across the plate. Huntley had started the inning off with a single to center field.

Austin Bull (Grand Canyon) started the MoonDogs lineup with a walk in the bottom of the first and stole second for his seventh stolen base of the season. During the next at bat, RJ Teijeiro (UCLA) singled down the right field line to score Bull as the first run of the game.

Jarod Wright (Southern Miss.) started on the mound tonight for the MoonDogs and didn’t give up a hit until the fifth inning when Rox catcher, Noah Hill (Bringham Young) hit a single up the middle. He would later come around to score off of a bases clearing triple by Ryland Kerr (Eastern Kentucky) to put the Rox up 3-1.

The MoonDogs came back with a seventh inning rally and a big two-out, two-RBI single from Jake Shepski (Xavier). The Rox tied it up again in the eighth inning when Ricardo Sanchez (Arkansas Pine Bluff) hit a sacrifice fly to score Bobby Seymour (Wake Forest).

Brandon Pfaadt (Bellarmine) would come in to pitch two and one-third innings and hold off the Rox long enough for a Novak walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth.

The MoonDogs will head to St. Cloud tomorrow for the final game of the series as Nathan Hickey (Tarleton State) is expected to take the mound. First pitch is schedule for 7:05 pm.
