Mankato, Minn. – Geremy Guerrero pitched a complete game against St. Cloud this afternoon at Franklin Rogers Park in the first game of a doubleheader today. Gerrero allowed only one run, seven hits and struck out four batters in his first complete game of the season.

The MoonDogs went on the attack in the bottom of the sixth, as they put four runs on the board to put them ahead 5-0. The inning began with Jake Shepski’s second double of the game down the left field line. Shepski would score when Garrett Mitchell hit a single to right field. RJ Teijeiro drove in the final two runs of the inning off of a single up the middle.

Guerrero’s only surrendered run of the game came in the top of the ninth inning that started with a double to center field by Landon Stephenson, and Hance Smith hit a single up the middle to drive Stephenson in for the Rox only run of the game.

The MoonDogs will now head to St. Cloud for the second game of the doubleheader at 7:05 pm.
