The Mankato MoonDogs are excited to announce four more players who will be joining the team in 2019.  Nathan Croner, Hayden Juenger, Nick Schmidt, and Shane Barringer will all be making their Mankato debuts this summer.

Croner, a left-handed pitcher for the University of Evansville, is a junior out of Independence, MO.  In 2018, he had the second-most appearances for the Purple Aces, with 26.  Opposing hitters had a .213 batting average against Croner, a team low.

Juenger, who comes to Mankato from Missouri State University, is a right-handed pitcher out of O’Fallon, IL.  The freshman was the third-ranked right-handed pitching prospect in all of Illinois in 2018, posting a 1.55 ERA and 75 strikeouts for his high school.

Schmidt, also a right-handed pitcher from Missouri State University, is a freshman from Wentzville, MO.  As a high school senior, Schmidt was honored as the All-Gateway Athletic Conference Player of the Year, after racking up 77 strikeouts with a 2.18 ERA.

Barringer, a junior out of Bellarmine University, is a left-handed pitcher from Saratoga Springs, NY.  Barringer transferred to Bellarmine from Siena University, where he totaled 18.1 innings over 13 appearances.
