Mankato, Minn- We’re down to 24 days till our first game in Mankato! Coming down the home stretch we got five more MoonDogs for you! This week we have Kyle Moseley, Zac Cummins, Simon Gregersen, Nate Morris, and Caleb Heuertz!

 

Kyle Moseley

A Texas kid who pitches from the left side is added to the roster in Kyle Moseley. The Angelo State University product has been a consistent pitcher in the Rams Rotation. Kyle has been dominating hitters, and most notably this year he stuck out six batters in one appearance. Kyle posted a 4.08 ERA in 14 games in 2021. He had a 3-1 record in 35 innings pitched. The ‘Dogs are jubilated to see his stuff on the Hill. 

 

 

Zac Cummins

Zac Cummins is a 6’4 right handed pitcher from FreePort, Illinois! Cummins is currently attending the University of Evansville, and has been coming out of the pen for the Aces this season! He has been frequently called out of the pen making 9 appearances with 19 innings pitched! Zac previously pitched at Rock Valley College, where the was a First Team All American in the NJCAA. We can’t wait to see his versatility at ISG Field. 

 

 

Simon Gregersen

The recent Indiana State commit is joining Manakto this summer! Simon Gregersen is a 6’2 right from the Great state of Minnesota! He has been playing his ball this year at Des Moine Area CC! For the Bears he’s been their ace with a 1.80 ERA in 25 innings pitched! Striking out 40 batters with an astounding 14.40 K/9 rate. He’s a do it all pitcher between starting games, and saving them, with 7 already on the year! We can’t see this Bear turn into a MoonDog before becoming a sycamore! 

 

 

Nate Morris 

Another pitcher joins the Dogs in Nate Morris. Morris is a right handed pitcher from Delta College. Morris has been Dominant this season for the Mustangs boasting a 2.58 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched. Nate also has been Mr.Clutch for the Mustangs with five saves on the season! Everyone wants to see the long ball, but you’re going to want to come out to ISG field to see Nate pitch!

 

 

Caleb Heuertz 

 

The Midland College product joins the MoonDogs this year as well! Caleb Heuertz is a 5’10 backstop who rakes! This year for the Chaparral’s he is hitting .351 with 7 Home Runs, and 39 RBI! Along with a staggering .430 OBP, and a .588 slugging percentage which adds up to a 1018 OPS! He isn’t a slouch with the glove either! His combo with the glove, and his bat is going to be a killer combo at ISG field! The moon is the limit for this Chaparral!

 

 

The 21st season of MoonDogs baseball begins with the Duluth Huskies coming to Mankato on May 30th at ISG Field.
