With the season 10 days away we have some special players to introduce! Today we have Brycen Sherwood, Tasei Yahiro, Ryan Reynolds, Kyle Osterhage, Adam Juran, and the backstop Luke Napleton!

Brycen Sherwood

From MidAmerican Nazarene University is Brycen Sherwood! Sherwood has been a monster for the Pioneers this season hitting  .345, with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs. MidAmerican is in the Heart conference and Brycen is primed for All-Conference honors! Brycen is going to look great in our orange, and black.

Taisei Yahiro

Mankato is excited to introduce a left handed pitcher from Osaka, Japan! Taisei Yahiro is the man, and he currently is playing for Grand Canyon University. He is one of two Antelopes on the roster this season. Taisei has been used like an old school pitcher for the Grand Canyon. The term would be the “Loogy” For the Antelope! We can’t wait to see how we use Yahiro at ISG field!

Ryan Reynolds

This is not the Actor! This is Ryan Reynolds from Cal State Bakersfield! Ryan stands at six foot four, and is dripping with potential. This being his first season for the Roadrunners thus has only seen two games, as a pitcher! In both he’s pitched well! Mankato can’t wait to see the California kid on the hill!

Kyle Osterhage

We got a second halfer in Kyle Osterhage! Osterhage is a right handed pitcher originally from Carmicahel California! Kyle currently attends Westmont college in Santa Barbara! He appeared seven times this season for the Warriors! Kyle is also a huge Vicent Montyo fan, as his favorite movie is Princess Bride! Give a warm MoonDog welcome to Kyle!

Adam Juran

A Wisconsin boy in the Northwoods is up next! We introduce Adam Juran from Western Illinois University! Originally from Sauk Prairie Wisconsin,  Juran has hit three home runs and eighteen RBI’s for the Leathernecks this season! He really brings the leather too, as he has caught 18 runners stealing this season! It’ll be exciting to see Juran in the mix for the catching duty, along with the other great catchers!

Luke Napleton

Speaking of our great catchers, here is another one! Luke Napleton is a backstop from the University of Quincy! He’s hitting an astounding 249 with 16 home runs , and 56 RBI’s. He almost has as many RBIS (56) as he does  hits with 61! He also is not afraid to flash the leather with 10 runners caught this season! The catcher spot is going to be one to watch this season for sure!
