It was a slow night in Willmar.

Neither team scored more than 3 runs and Mankato couldn’t scratch across even a single run.

Willmar held Mankato to just one hit throughout the game behind the pitching of JD Hennen and Will Henry, both from Augustana.

Mankato’s lone hit came in the 5th inning on a single by Andres Castro (Bellarmine University) but nothing came of it.

Willmar took the lead in the 2nd and never looked back as they scored again in the 4th and 6th.

With a final of 3-0 on a rainy slow night in Willmar, Mankato will look to bounce back tomorrow and get the bats going once again.
