(Mankato, MN)—The 2008 First-Half North Division Champion, Mankato MoonDogs, begin a three-game home stand on Monday, July 28th with giveaways and an entertainment act never seen before at Franklin Rogers Park.

On Monday night (July 28), it will be Sports Bag Giveaway presented by Rasmussen College where the first 500 fans receive a free MoonDogs duffle bag. Tuesday night (July 29) will offer kids a chance to play like their favorite MoonDog when the first 400 kids 14 and under receive a free wiffle ball and bat set compliments of Subway. The three-game home stand will wrap up with a double-header on Wednesday, July 30th beginning at 6:05 PM with two seven inning games scheduled. It will also offer one of the most anticipated entertainment acts of the season in BirdZerk!.

Like the ZOOperstars, BirdZerk! is owned by the same company and is an entertaining whirlybird with more tricks up his feathers than Houdini. Whether BirdZerk! is pulling off hijinks with the players and coaches, harassing the umpires and officials, or funnin’ with the crowd, the lovable prankster’s zany antics always leave them laughing and begging for more. Families and fans of all ages will be entertained all night.

With home field advantage still undecided for the Divisional Playoffs in the North Division, the promotions will only add to the fan experience and excitement at the Frank. The MoonDogs will host the Brainerd Blue Thunder on July 28th and 29th at 7:05 PM and a double-header against the Rochester Honkers on July 30th beginning at 6:05 PM.

Baseball Cap Giveaway presented by Crystal Valley Coop, which was rained out on Saturday, July 19th, will be made up on the MoonDogs first home playoff game either August 12th or 13th. The first 500 fans will receive a free MoonDogs baseball cap.
