
The Northwoods League Foundation (“Foundation”) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves as a vehicle to transform a shared passion for baseball into positive change and support for communities. The Mission of the Northwoods League Foundation is: To utilize the game of baseball to enrich the quality of life for children and families with an enduring and caring focus on Northwoods League communities.
This summer, the Northwoods League is hosting the softball summer league. The teams will reside in La Cross, WI; Madison, WI; Mankato, MN; Wausau, WI; Grand Forks, ND; and Minot, ND. With women’s sports at the forefront of the Northwoods League mind, one local SOFTBALL organization will be awarded a set of team equipment!

Affiliate Teams will be accepting grant applications from organizations within their community. The foundation will not directly accept applications. The deadline to apply for the 2026 grant is May 15th
If your organization wishes to apply for this grant, please complete the application form below. The grant recipient will be chosen by the Northwoods League Foundation and be notified by the Rivets in mid-May. Share the Glove Application
The Northwoods League Foundation (“Foundation”) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. It serves as a vehicle to transform a shared passion for baseball and softball into positive change and support for communities. The Mission of the Northwoods League Foundation is to utilize the games of baseball and softball to enrich the quality of life for children and families, with an enduring and caring focus on Northwoods League communities. In support of this mission, the Foundation launched its Share the Glove initiative in 2018. Share the Glove supports local youth sports through equipment grants. Since 2018, more than $300,000 worth of equipment has been distributed to youth organizations. For the 2026 season, the Rockford Rivets will be granting new equipment for a local SOFTBALL organization.
