(Rochester Minn.)–The Rochester Honkers doubleheader against the Alexandria Blue Anchors that was scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Thursday night has been postponed due to weather and unplayable conditions. The teams will play a doubleheader tomorrow, Friday, June 12th, at 6:05 with gates opening at 5:00 p.m., consisting of two seven-inning games. Alex Evans (Barton CC) and Matt Fiedler (Minnesota) are scheduled to start on the mound for Rochester. Evans is 2-0 on the season, while Fiedler has 10 strikeouts in just 6.1 innings of work.

The Rochester Honkers will make up the second postponed game in Alexandria as part of a double header on July 18th, since the two teams don’t play in Rochester anymore this season.  The results of that double header will be credited to the second half standings per League rules.

The Lanyard Giveaway promotion that was scheduled for Thursday will take place Friday. The first 500 fans at the game will receive a free Honkers lanyard.  It is also Advanced Financial Consultants Night.  This is the third game at home the Rochester Honkers have had postponed due to weather this season.
