On a night where there was no such thing as a safe lead, the MoonDogs of Mankato outscored the Bucks 13-8. The teams combined for 31 hits over the course of the game.

Mankato did most of their damage in the fourth and seventh innings, scoring five runs in each frame. The dagger inning, the seventh, was highlighted by a towering three run home run off the bat of first baseman Levi Scott.

The pitchers of record were the starters for each team. Derek Burkamper took his first loss of the season after allowing seven runs over three and two thirds innings. Coming into Sunday's game, the most recent addition to the Bucks roster had only pitched four innings and not allowed any runs. Aaron Myers struggled, as well, allowing six runs over three innings.

The winning pitcher for Mankato was Cord Cockrell, who gave up six runs (four earned) over five shaky innings of work. He was removed from the game with one out in the sixth inning, and the bullpen managed to hold on from there.

All Northwoods teams receive a three day break for the NWL All Star Game, taking place in Mequon Wisconsin. The Bucks return to action on Thursday, July 24 at the Duluth Huskies. News-Slideshow-20th-LOGO-WAT---GAME-RECAP
