On March 30, the he Waterloo Bucks have announced Colby Talley will handle broadcasting duties for the organization during the 2023 season. Talley, who is currently a senior at Virginia Tech, will be the play-by-play broadcaster for the team’s Northwoods League TV Network webcasts.
Talley is a native of King William, Virginia, and by the time the Bucks season starts, he will have graduated from Virginia Tech where he majored in Sports Media and Analytics. Talley was a play-by-play broadcaster for 3304 Sports, a student run sports media platform at Virginia Tech that covers Tech athletic events through broadcasts, articles, and other mediums. He has also served as a co-editor for the sports section of the Collegiate Times, a student run newspaper at Virginia Tech, and as a production assistant for the ACC Network.
Talley will broadcast all 36 Waterloo home games on the NWLTV video webcast platform, which can be found online at www.waterloobucks.com.
“I absolutely cannot wait to get started out in Waterloo,” Talley said. “I’m immensely thankful for the opportunity to spend the summer honing my craft while putting out quality broadcasts for Bucks fans!”
