BISMARCK, N.D.- The Bismarck Larks (25-28) snagged the lead in the bottom of the second inning and never let go in a 6-1 win over the Waterloo Bucks (31-23) to even up the series after two games.

The Larks loaded up the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the first inning but only plated one run on a fielder's choice as Jared Crescentini (4-4) limited the damage.

Waterloo answered in the top of the second when Jake Viaene tripled to right field and he was brought around to score on the very next pitch, an RBI groundout from Jay Schuyler.

The game would not stayed tied 1-1 for long as Connor Perry hit a bounding ground ball to the right side that got by Drew Greenwood as another Lark run scored in the bottom of the second.

Cooper Coldiron sent a flare down the right field line that barely dropped fair for an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth. A few moments later a wild pitch brought across another run putting the Larks ahead 4-1.

Bismarck tried to put the game out of a reach on a ground ball that snuck under Greenwood's glove and into right field with two outs to make the score 6-1 after seven innings. Frank Greco (2-3) threw seven innings, only allowed one run and struck out six batters.

The Bucks never got into a rhythm but will try to turn it around tomorrow, July 26 in a day-night double header with the first game starting at 11:05 a.m. and the night cap at 7:05 p.m. at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark.
