Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Booyah have announced the addition of two pitchers by signing Jack Mahoney (Milwaukee) and Garrett Martin (Marian).
Mahoney, a 6-foot-8, sophomore lefty, from Appleton, Wisconsin has appeared in 14 games for the Panthers. Through 30 innings pitched he owns a 5.10 ERA with 30 strikeouts and has been holding opponents to a .204 average. The former Appleton West High School standout has been dealing over his last five appearances and is currently on a 11.1 inning scoreless streak where he has 12 strikeouts to only two walks.
Martin, a 6-foot-3, sophomore right handed pitcher from Gypsum, Colorado, has started seven games for the Sabres. Through 45.2 innings pitched he is 5-2 with a 3.98 ERA and 74 strikeouts and only 18 walks. Martin has an impressive 14.73 K/9 and went on 23 inning scoreless streak over three dominant starts in the month of April. As a freshman he compiled a 3-2 record with a 3.79 ERA over 38 innings.
The Green Bay Booyah open the season on Tuesday, May 28th at 7:05 in Traverse City, Michigan. Capital Credit Union Park will host the first Booyah home game against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on Saturday June 1st at 7:05.
