Ashwaubenon, WI – The Green Bay Booyah couldn’t stop the bats of Madison, as their losing streak extended to five games, falling 15-2.
It all started in the first inning for Madison when Andre Nnebe brought in a run on an RBI single against Logan Lee. Drew Williams followed Nnebe with a ground rule RBI double into left field. Madison pounced for four first inning runs and never relinquished the lead.
Offensively for Green Bay, Cooper Morrison lead the way for the Booyah, going 2-4 with two singles and an RBI. The only other RBI on the day went to Mike Ferri on a groundout. The lone extra base hit of the day went to Ty Herrenbruck on a double to the wall.
On the mound, Logan Lee was handed the loss after giving up seven earned runs over the course of three and third. Zach Chappell gave up five runs, including a grand slam, in his one full inning of work. Luke Wallner went two and two-thirds, striking out one and allowing a single earned run. Jesse Philp and Jaret Godman both completed one inning of work, with neither giving up a run.
The Booyah try to snap their five-game losing streak tomorrow on the road as Dalton Wiggins makes his first start in a Green Bay uniform. Wisconsin Rapids and the Booyah meet for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.
