Green Bay goes into off day on positive note

ASHWAUBENON, Wis.The Green Bay Booyah defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits at Capital Credit Union Park, 8-4, on Tuesday evening. With the victory, the Booyah completed a sweep of the Jackrabbits.

It was a rough start for the Booyah, as they gave up four runs in the top half of the second inning. But, in the bottom half of the second, Elias Flowers (Jacksonville) reaching on an error by the right fielder plated two runs. In the ensuing at-bat, Nadir Lewis (Princeton) reached on an infield single and, thanks to heads up baserunning by Flowers, he scored from second base to make it 4-3.

In the bottom of the third, Jake Berg’s (Jacksonville) single scored Max Wagner (Clemson) to tie the ballgame at four.

Finally, in the bottom of the fourth, the Booyah plated four runs thanks to a three-run home run by Lewis and an RBI single by Dalton Pearson (Georgia State). The 8-4 lead was enough for the Booyah.

Tanner Lane (Pittsburg State) pitched phenomenally out of the bullpen. He went pitching 6.1 innings, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out ten. Much like Estridge last night, he retired 11 straight Jackrabbits.
