Green Bay returns to Mequon

MEQUON, Wis. – The Green Bay Booyah are back in Mequon on Wednesday to take on the Lakeshore Chinooks as the two teams cap off a two-game series.
Last night, the Booyah dominated the Chinooks and were led by Dalton Pearson (Georgia State) and Mykel Page (Southern). Pearson went 5-for-5 at the plate with a run scored and a run batted in. Page pitched eight shutout innings allowing just two hits and striking out three. Page’s efforts earned him the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night award for July 6.
Green Bay pulled 16 hits together in the 8-0 victory. During this season-long four-game winning streak, they have combined for 58 hits. Before the streak started, Green Bay was 16th in the league in team batting average. They will enter tonight’s game in Mequon 8th in the league in that same category.
The Booyah have outscored opponents 39-18 during this streak.
Tanner Lane (Pittsburg State) will make his third start of the season for the Booyah tonight. He is 1-0 on the season with a 4.20 ERA. He has pitched in 15 innings, allowing 12 hits, seven earned runs with ten walks and 17 strikeouts.
The Chinooks will go with Nate Haberthier. He is 0-1 this season with an 8.74 ERA. He came in relief against the Booyah on June 11. He pitched three innings and allowed five hits with two runs.
The Green Bay Booyah will be back at Capital Credit Union Park on Thursday to take on the Kenosha Kingfish. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm. It will be “Sayonara to 2020 Night.” It will also be Thirsty Thursday with Bud Light and 101 WIXX. There will be half price taps through the end of the fifth inning.
