Green Bay have five-game winning streak

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. The Green Bay Booyah return to Capital Credit Union Park on Thursday as they host the Kenosha Kingfish as they start a two-game inter-division series.

The Booyah enter this game hot. They are on a five-game winning streak, their longest streak of the season. The Booyah are tied with the St. Cloud Rox and the Mankato MoonDogs for the longest active winning streak.

The Booyah won a thrilling game last night in Mequon in come from behind fashion. Green Bay was behind on the board entering the seventh inning, 2-0. In that seventh, the Booyah scored three runs including an unearned run on an error by the shortstop that scored Max Wagner (Clemson). The Booyah added an insurance run in the ninth that ended up being the difference. In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Chinooks left the tying-run stranded at third base when Will Semb (Iowa) struck out Josh Glenn to end the game. Semb picked up his second save of the season.

The Booyah and Kingfish enter tonight’s first game of the series at 2-0. While the Booyah swept the Chinooks, the Kingfish swept the Rockford Rivets.

The Kingfish will give the ball to Brock Weirather. He is 4-1 on the season allowing just four earned runs in 38 innings. He has allowed 22 hits and eight walks while striking out 18. This will be his sixth start of the season.

The Booyah have not announced a starter yet. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.

It will be “Sayonara to 2020 Night” on Thursday at Capital Credit Union Park. It will also be Thirsty Thursday with Bud Light and 101 WIXX. There will be half price taps through the end of the fifth inning. Fans can also buy a $25 Bud Light Party Patio ticket.
