Green Bay looks for second win against Fond du Lac in 2022
Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Rockers square off against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Monday at Capital Credit Union Park with first pitch set for 6;35 p.m. in the second of back-to-back games for the Rockers.
The pregame concert performed by Nicki Sims will start at 5:35 p.m. with this game also featuring free hot dog Monday, in which fans will have access to free hot dogs for the first 90 minutes after gates open.
The Rockers last played the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Sunday afternoon at Capital Credit Union Park, and fell 7-2, splitting the series with the Rafters.
Wisconsin Rapids scored seven combined runs in the seventh and eighth innings, and led from there on out, despite Matt Scannell and Griffin Selby each driving a run home in the ninth inning to give the Rockers late offense.
Logan Berrier pitched the first 6.2 innings and struck out six batters while only giving up one earned run on three hits.
For Monday’s matchup, Green Bay will send Will Semb out for the start as he’ll make his fifth appearance on the season. In 19.0 innings pitched, he has given up eight earned runs on 21 hits, while walking 11 and striking out 17 in 89 batters faced.
Semb last pitched on June 21 against Lakeshore, in which he threw the first two innings and walked three while striking out two in a 9-1 loss to the Chinooks.
The Dock Spiders will start Austin Wagner, who comes in with a 2-2 record and a 4.57 ERA, after pitching 21.2 innings in his first four appearances. He has zero walks and 21 strikeouts in 87 batters faced.
The Rockers will head back on the road as they’ll take on the Dock Spiders for the second time in as many days on Sunday
