Mallards take Friday night’s affair in Ashwaubenon
Ashwaubenon, Wis. – The Mallards took Friday night’s ballgame, 6-3.
The Mallards hit a pair of solo home runs in each of the first two innings. In the fourth in a 2-0 game, Madison scored three runs to extend the lead to 5-0.
Green Bay got on the board in the fifth. Owen Jackson reached on a fielder’s choice, and the play scored Tristin Garcia.
In the sixth, Christian Rivera hit his second solo home run of the game to make it a 6-1 score.
Shane Gipson hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth, his first of the year to make it 6-2. Owen Jackson hit his second homer in as many days in the seventh to make it 6-3.
Pitchers Steven Lacy and Bryce Woody threw perfect eighth and ninth innings to seal the deal for the Mallards.
Saturday’s game will feature Michael Finan for Madison and Michael Fowler for Green Bay. First pitch from Capital Credit Union Park is set for 6:35 p.m.
