Green Bay looks for third straight win against Rockford
Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Rockers take on the Rockford Rivets for the second time in as many days Monday, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. from Capital Credit Union Park.
The pregame concert performed by One Dan Man Band will start at 5:35 p.m. with this game also being free hot dog Monday at the ballpark, meaning that hot dogs are free for the first 90 minutes after gates open.
The Rockers will be looking for their third straight win after they took down the Rivets Sunday afternoon at home in 12 innings.
A walk-off walk from Jake Berg gave the Rockers the victory at home, while Tristin Garcia went 2-4 and Danny Wuestenfeld went 2-5 with a clutch RBI single in the eleventh inning to tie the game for Green Bay.
Jacob Conover earned the win on the mound despite just pitching two thirds of an inning, after he forced the Rivets into a double play to keep them off the board in the twelfth, paving the way for the walk-off victory.
For Monday’s game, Green Bay will start Bryce Crabb on the mound, as he comes in with a 1-1 record and a 5.86 ERA.
Crabb has appeared in 11 games this season so far in 2022, with his latest appearance coming back on July 9 against Kalamazoo. Crabb has pitched in 27.2 innings with five walks and 15 strikeouts as this will be his first start since earlier in the season.
The Rivets will start Ryan Green who comes in with a 1-1 record and a 7.98 ERA after he last pitched one inning against Kenosha back on July 7.
Green Bay will conclude the five-game home stand Tuesday, as they’ll take on the Wausau Woodchucks following Monday’s game. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. from Capital Credit Union Park.
