Madison, Wis., – The Loggers flipped a switch in the night game to avenge the game on loss at the Duck Pond, 13-10.

La Crosse got on the board quickly this time around. Will Savage (Columbia) doubled .and scored on a Brock Lundquist (Long Beach State) single. The first five batters reached the next inning; Keith Skinner (North Florida) doubled to Chris Baker (Washington) and Ryan Kirby (San Diego). Mason McCoy (Iowa) brought in two more runs to give La Crosse a 6-0 lead.

J.J Gould put the Mallards in the game with a two out two-run home run. The Loggers erased the two spot the very next inning. Chris Baker doubled to score Jordan Zimmerman (Michigan State) and Ryan Kirby.

Madison put three more on the board with two outs in the bottom of the 3rd. Scott Tyler (Ball State) doubled in Ro Coleman. Cameron Frost singled in two more to cut the Logger lead to two.

Ro Coleman tripled in a run in the 4th inning. Madison scored on three consecutive innings, making the game 7-6 La Crosse.

Five insurance runs crossed for the Loggers in the 6th. Will Savage (Columbia) drove in the substitute, Zander Clarke, on a ground out. Brock Lundquist (Long Beach State) and Chris Baker knocked in two each on a double and an error by the second baseman.

Madison put up four more runs, but ultimately fell short, 13-10. The win puts La Crosse at 8-7 in the second half and 27-22. The Loggers are now tied for 4th place in the second half standings. They are still in possession of the final wild card position by three games.
