St. Cloud, Minn. – St. Cloud comes back from trailing 3-2 to defeat La Crosse 5-3 at Joe Faber Field.

Loggers’ starting pitcher Jon Teaney (San Diego) held St. Cloud hitless in the first two innings, but Webb Bobo (SE Louisiana) singled to lead off the 3rd inning. He came into score with two outs on a wild pitch.

The Rox added another run in the 4th, but the Loggers responded in the 5th. La Crosse loaded the bases with no outs on a walk and two singles. Mason McCoy (Iowa) followed them with a single that scored last night’s hero, Justin Wylie (San Diego State) from 3rd, and another because of an error by the left fielder. Cullen Large (William & Mary) gave the Lumbermen the lead 3-2 on an RBI groundout to the shortstop.

That lead was short lived because St. Cloud singled three times in the 6th, scoring twice and taking a 5-4 lead over La Crosse.  A leadoff walk in the 7th by Brandon Benson (Georgia College) lead to an insurance run for the Rox when he scored with two outs on a single by Luke Ringhofer (South Dakota State).

Brian Glowicki (Minnesota) threw a scoreless 8th and 9th to seal the win for the Rox.

Chris Martin (Kent State) won his 3rd game of the season (3-0) with 3 innings pitch tonight. He held La Crosse scoreless and only gave up 1 hit. He also struck out 3 batters.

Jon Teaney took his second consecutive loss (4-2). He went 5.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits. He walked 2 batters and struck out 6.
