LA CROSSE, WI – Looking to complete the sweep of the Duluth Huskies, the La Crosse Loggers were geared up for game two of the five-gave homestand at The Lumberyard. The offense produced, but between pitching struggles and a handful of errors they could not pull off the win as they fall 9-14.

RHP Cody Ebert (Columbia) would get the start tonight, Ebert would pitch 4.0 innings allowing five runs on eight hits. Sam Messina (Army) came in to relieve, but struggled to find the strike zone allowing five runs on two hits after pitching just an inning. Unfortunately, this would hand him the loss on the night. Joe Rosenstein (Washington State) and Hunter Davis (Duke) would also make relief appearances. Rosenstein allow no runs on two hits and Davis gave up four runs on five hits both in 2.0 innings pitched. Although the pitching staff had their struggles tonight, the handful of errors by teammates certainly did not help the cause. On the winning side of the scoreboard, RHP Austin Truso would collect the win.

Eight out of the nine Loggers contributed to the team total of 12 hits. In his first game wearing a Loggers' uniform, Mitchell Morimoto (Arizona) felt right at home. Going 2-for-3 on the night with three RBI thanks to a three-run blast, Morimoto would lead the Loggers at the plate tonight. Luke Rasmussen (Long Beach State) went 2-for-3 with a double and a homerun. Korey Lee (California) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. The bats were alive and well at The Lumberyard, but defensive struggles took their toll tonight as the Loggers would drop game two to the Huskies 9-14.
