BISMARCK, ND – The La Crosse Loggers scored eight times in the first two frames en route to a 12-5 victory over the host Bismarck Larks in front of 1,951 onlookers at Bismarck Municipal Stadium on Thursday night.

Five different Loggers recorded multi-hit nights led by Mike Rothenberg’s (Duke) three-hit night that saw him end up a double shy of the cycle.  The Logger backstop also scored three times and drove in three.

Harrison Freed (Butler), Korey Lee (Cal), Bryce Blaum (Texas A & M) and Grant Judkins (Iowa) each collected two safeties on a night that saw the Loggers offense tally 12 hits as a team.

Starter Bill Chillari (Duke) picked up his third win of the season after tossing five innings in which he surrendered five runs, walked one and struck out two.

Tyler Bujanowski (McHenry CC) tossed 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball in relief of Chillari and Tyler Boelke (Viterbo) tossed the final 1.1 of hitless baseball to secure the victory.

The same two teams will meet again on Friday night back at Bismarck Municipal Stadium for a 7:05 p.m. game.  Air time on the Logger Nation Station, The Eagle, 102.7 FM, is set for 6:30 p.m.
