LA CROSSE, WI – The La Crosse Loggers would come out tonight ready to go after a big win over the Bismarck Larks the night before. It was a beautiful Monday night for baseball; however, unfortunately, the Loggers could not pull off the win as they get topped by the Larks 4-7.

On the mound to start tonight for the Loggers was RHP Grant Ford (Nevada). After throwing 3.0 innings allowing four runs on five hits and striking out six, Ford would be handed the loss. Mason McMahon (UW-LaCrosse) would pitch 1.0 inning of relief. As well Taylor Turner (Madonna) coming in for the last 5.0 innings of relief pitching excellently. Turner allowed no runs on just one hit and collected five strikeouts. Unfortunately, the Loggers' offense could not make up the early deficit. Larks' RHP Frank Greco would get the win tonight and RHP Jeff Lindgren scores the save.

Not many Logger batters were able to produce tonight. However, Grant Judkins (Iowa) continued to amaze at the plate. Tonight, Judkins went 2-for-3 with three RBI mostly thanks to a two-run shot over right field fence in the bottom of the third inning. Ryan Mantle (Creighton), David Villar (South Florida), and Kennie Taylor (Duke) would all contribute a hit each tonight as well.

The Loggers now begin the longest road trip of the season. After six games away, the Loggers will return to The Lumberyard on Monday, July 3 for a 7:05 PM game against the Waterloo Bucks. It is PACK THE PARK NIGHT: A tribute to the military with LOGISTICS HEALTH! There will be a post-game fireworks extravaganza and anyone with a military ID gets in FREE! Mondays are also "Little League Mondays" presented by DICK'S SPORTING GOODS, so Little Leaugers dressed in uniform get in FREE with a paid adult!
