LA CROSSE, WI – Former Logger Cameron Cannon (Arizona) became the second Logger alum to go on Day #1 of the 2019 MLB Draft when the Boston Red Sox selected him with the 43rd overall pick in the second round on Monday night.
Cannon just finished a record-setting season for the Wildcats this past spring that saw him hit a team-best .397 with 29 doubles, 8 homers and 56 RBI’s.
The Glendale, Ariz. native spent the summer of 2017 in La Crosse when he hit .276 with 10 doubles, two homers and drove in 19 runs.
