What’s your favorite memory while playing for the Rochester Honkers?
JC: My favorite memory while playing for the Honkers was the players I got the chance the play with! Great talented players who were all around good guys. And of course another great memory was how awesome the fans were at every home game.

What's your favorite non playing memory from your time with the Rochester Honkers?
JC: My favorite non playing memory would have to be my host family. I was very lucky to be paired with such a wonderful family. I was very fortunate to get to spend that summer with Tracy, Mike, Payton and Rylie Schnell! I miss them that's for sure.

Who was your favorite teammate when you played for the Rochester Honkers and why?
JC: It's hard to narrow it down to just one player that was my favorite Honker to play with that summer. Up and down that lineup were great guys who I really got along with and enjoyed playing with every day that summer.

What has happened to you since you left Rochester and what are you doing now?
JC: Since I left Rochester at the end of the summer in 2011. I graduated at Wichita State, and I am currently back home in Saint Joseph, Missouri. I am currently getting my Masters in education and once that is completed I plan on teaching at the high school level. I am a substitute teacher in the same school district. I am also coaching baseball and basketball at the high school level. In the summer time I also coach a college summer baseball team, the Saint Joseph Mustangs who I played for during my first two summers in college.

Do you stay in contact with former teammates? If so, who?
JC:
I also do stay in contact with several players from that 2011 team. Guys like Tony Kemp, Elliot Engel, Erik Mattingly and Kevin Johnson just to name a few. The one guy I keep in contact with probably the most is Anthony Hutting. I met so many guys that summer who i got to know really well and will probably be friends with that 2011 team for life.
