LOVES PARK, Ill. – Looking for a chance to make a little extra summer cash? Then play to visit Rivets Stadium on Saturday.

 

The Rockford Rivets Job Fair is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the stadium, located at 4503 Interstate Blvd. in Loves Park. The Northwoods League baseball team will be interviewing for multiple part-time, hourly positions in concessions, press box, maintenance and parking.

 

Gameday employees are responsible for delivering a first-class experience to Rivets fans. A positive attitude, high work ethic and attention to outstanding customer service are requirements. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. The Rivets will interview each applicant for 10-15 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Hours and pay vary by position, but applicants must be available for a majority of the 36-game home schedule, including weekends.

The Rivets open their inaugural season in the Stateline at 6:35 p.m. May 31, when they host the Wisconsin Woodchucks at Rivets Stadium.

 

Rockford is a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League, which will play its 23rd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2016. The Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 140 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (Washington Nationals) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (Chicago White Sox), Jordan Zimmermann (Detroit Tigers), Curtis Granderson (New York Mets), Lucas Duda (Mets) and Ben Zobrist (Chicago Cubs).
