LOVES PARK, Ill. – The Rockford Rivets increased their win streak to seven games with Tuesday’s 4-3 win over the Battle Creek Bombers at Rivets Stadium.

 

Rockford starter Nick Drahozal threw a gem for the win. Drahozal (2-0) pitched held the Bombers to two runs on six hits and struck out six over his six innings of work. Zach Olszewski closed the game for the Rivets with a perfect ninth inning and earned his second save.

 

The Rivets took the lead for good with two runs in the third inning off Battle Creek starter Scott Sency. Ricardo Ramirez tied the game with a sacrifice fly and Neal Tyrell gave Rockford a 3-2 lead with a two-out RBI double to center field.  

 

Braden Williams, who doubled in a run in the fourth, was 2-for-2 with two walks and one RBI.
