LOVES PARK, Ill. – Loyal Rockford Rivets fans can win big bucks this summer, thanks to the Rivets Stakes contest.
During Fan Appreciation Weekend, one lucky person will win thousands of dollars in cash. Fans can find Rivets Stakes entry forms and boxes at point-of-sale displays at Pizza Ranch, the Rockford Meijer, all Alpine Bank locations, Rockford University, 1st Rental, Gordon Food Service and Buddy’s Home Furnishings.
Rivets Stakes is open to adults 18 and older, limited to one entry per person and the form must be filled out completely. The winner will be announced during the Rivets’ 5:05 p.m. game against the Wilmar Stingers on Aug. 7.
“What better way to cap Fan Appreciation Weekend?” Rivets assistant general manager Bill Czaja said. “It’s our way to thank our fans for their business in our first season. It also enables us to build a bridge between our fans and our partners in the Stateline business community.”

Rockford is a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League, in its 23rd season of summer collegiate baseball.
