LOVES PARK, Ill. – Rivets Stadium is once again the place to go for the best beer special in the Stateline.

The Rockford Rivets announced Thursday that their July 13 game, scheduled for 6:35 p.m. against the Wisconsin Woodchucks, will feature the return of Dollar Beer Night. Domestic drafts will be available for just $1 at the Party Porch in right field.

“We’ve always had a Thursday beer special, but we want to show our fans that we are listening to them by bringing back the Dollar Beer Night,” Rivets director of ticketing Kyle McKenna said. “If the market responds favorably, we’ll certainly take that into consideration when determining whether to schedule more in the future.”

Customers 21 and over will be limited to two drinks per trip through line, and supplies are limited, so fans are recommended to be at the stadium when gates open an hour before gametime.

The Rockford Rivets are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League, in its 24th season of summer collegiate baseball. The Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, 170 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including two-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (Washington Nationals), two-time World Champion Ben Zobrist (Chicago Cubs) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (Boston Red Sox), Jordan Zimmermann (Detroit Tigers), Curtis Granderson (New York Mets) and Lucas Duda (Mets).
