Loves Park, IL –  The Rockford Rivets are pleased to announce they will be hosting the Brew’s on First Beer Fest.  The event will take place from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Saturday, June 2nd at Rivets Stadium, located at 4503 Interstate Blvd in Loves Park.

The Rivets have partnered with Chris Wachowiak, Co-Founder/Operator of the region’s most successful beer festival, Screw City Beer Fest to bring his expertise to the Brew’s on First Beer Fest.  “We are taking a swing at a new twist on the ballpark & craft beer festival experience”, said Chris Wachowiak noting along with beer sampling, there will be new twists on ball park food prepared by some of the best local restaurants including Abreo RestaurantLucha CantinaThe Olympic Tavern, Der Rathskeller Rockford and more!

“One of the things we are doing this year is utilizing the field during the event by holding a home run derby, special beer releases, and other events on the field”, noted Chad Bauer, General Manager of the Rivets.  “We have also created a tailgate area that will have limited access and will be available starting at noon with games, grilling and more”.

Tickets for Brew’s On First at Rivets Stadium go on sale at Noon on Monday, April 2nd.  There will be a 2,000 ticket limit, with discounted advance ticket sales.  A limited number of VIP tickets will be available.  Go to www.brewsonfirst.com for more information.
