Former Rockford Rivets star lefty Jordan Wicks cracked a prestigious Top 10 list this Spring: MLB.com ranked Wicks 6th overall in the top 30 Chicago Cubs prospect rankings for 2023.

“Wicks was barely scouted or recruited as an Arkansas high schooler but blossomed into the best left-hander in the 2021 Draft after three years at Kansas State, where he set single-season (118) and career (230) records for strikeouts,” says, Wicks’ MLB scouting report.

Wicks pitched with the Rivets in 2020, posting a 0.45 ERA that summer with a whopping 13.1 strikeouts per nine innings.
