While the Rockford Rivets are in the race for the first-place spot, the Rivets faced off against the Kenosha Kingfish on Wednesday night.
Tied at four a piece in the ninth inning, the Kenosha Kingfish and the Rockford Rivets went into extra innings where Adam Juran led the Rivets bringing in the winning run earning him Northwoods League Player of the Night.
In the top of the tenth inning, Adam Juran stepped up to the plate for the Rivets with one out and the go-ahead run just 90 feet away. Juran came in clutch for the Rivets with a double to left field to give the Rivets 5-4 lead.
Juran went 2-for-5 at the plate with 2 RBI and a double.
