Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks (0–3) kept the game close in the late innings, but eventually fell to the La Crosse Loggers (3–0).

Not only did the Loggers score two runs in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to an extra inning, but infielder Dylan Kordic batted a runner in from third base in the tenth inning to seal the deal for the Loggers.

Bucks starting pitcher Kade Douglas pitched a strong five innings, only giving up 3 earned runs to help his team jump to an early two-run lead. From there, the Bucks’ bullpen hit a rough patch as four runs in the next two innings.

Infielder Brodie Kresser was a big bright spot for the Bucks tonight, making several key plays in the middle infield and collecting 3 RBIs.

The Bucks will look to even the series tomorrow as they take on the Loggers for the second game of their two-game series. The game is set for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch.
