Kenosha, WI – The Waterloo Bucks defeat the Kenosha Kingfish in the final game of the first road trip by a score of 12-4.

Both the Bucks and Kingfish scored one run a piece in the second innings, but the pitching for Waterloo started and ended hot. Left-hander Wyatt Land went three strong innings and had seven strikeouts on his own. The Waterloo pitching ended today’s game with 16 combined strikeouts.

Along with the dominant pitching, the Bucks scored in five of the nine innings, including a six-run fourth inning. Three of the six runs came from a three-run home run off the bat of catcher, Brennan Hudson.

It was the Bucks’ first homerun of the season and the first home run to right field at Simmons Field since 2022. Four of the nine Waterloo batters had at least two hits and seven batters had at least one knock.

The Waterloo Bucks return home for a two-game homestand against the La Crosse Loggers with the first pitch from Riverfront Stadium starting at 1:05 PM
