For a second straight night, the Eau Claire Express fell to the Rochester Honkers, this time on the road at Mayo Field by a score of 7-1.

The Honkers, fresh off a 3-1 pitcher's duel win Thursday night, got the offense going early by scoring five times in the second off Express starter Andy Davis, and they never looked back.

Eau Claire's only run of the night came on a Tyler Hermann solo home run in the top of the seventh inning. It was Eau Claire's first long ball of the season.

On the mound, Eric Gleese of Hawaii pitched two scoreless innings in his first appearance of the summer for Eau Claire.

The Express return to Carson Park tomorrow to start a six-game homestand. Jeremy Bagnall will take the bump for the orange and black against the Waterloo Bucks. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
