Andy Davis was sensational.

There's no other way to describe the starting pitching performance from the St. Scholastica right-hander.

In seven innings, Davis didn't allow a run and gave up only four hits and struck out six as the Eau Claire Express gave him just enough run to support to leave Wade Stadium in Duluth with a 2-1 victory and a two-game sweep of the host Huskies.

The Express gave Davis all the run support he needed in the top of the fourth when they pushed across their only two runs.

Drew Turbin scored Mike Porcaro on a sacrifice fly while Tyler Jones singled to score Lane Milligan in the same inning. 

After Davis was pulled, Justin Jaquish threw a scoreless eighth inning, and Austin Stroschein stranded two runners on base in the final frame for a hard-fought save, and the Express managed to make it a .500 road trip at 3-3.

Eau Claire returns home for a two-game set with the Willmar Stingers starting tomorrow night at 6:35 p.m. at Carson Park.
