The weather in Willmar didn't look promising from the minute te Express bus pulled up to Bill Taunton Stadium. The Stingers staff had spent the good part of the day working on the field to make it safe for play at the scheduled 6:05 start. Unfortunately, the teams didn't make it much beyond that before Mother Nature interfered. With two outs in the top of the first inning the sky opened up and the game was suspended for completion Sunday.
Sunday's start has been pushed up to 4:05 PM. The teams will first finish Saturday's suspended game. That will be a nine inning contest. After a half hour break, the Express and Stingers will play Sunday's scheduled game, now a seven inning game.
