The St. Cloud Rox and Eau Claire Express came into Sunday's doubleheader separated by just one game in the second-half standings.

After 14 inning of baseball, that's exactly how much they are separated by once again as the two teams split the series.

St. Cloud spoiled a complete-game effort from Conner Rusch as the Rox took game one by a score of 2-0.

Eau Claire returned the favor by shutting out the Rox in game two, 5-0.

In game two, Brian Mundell launched his team-leading seventh home run of the season.

That came in the first inning with Daniel Salters on base.

Eau Claire didn't score again until the sixth, when Drew Turbin got aggressive on the basepaths. He stole third base, and on the play, the catcher threw the ball away allowing Turbin to score.

The Express tacked on two more for good measure as Salters doubled in Brady Burzynski and Jeff Hendrix in the top of the seventh.

Brett Seeburger earned the win on the mound by going five innings and allowing just two hits.

The Montevallo tandem of Jeremy Bagnall and Aron McRee finished out the night by throwing a scoreless inning apiece.

Eau Claire returns home for the final homestand of the season starting tomorrow against the Duluth Huskies. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. at Carson Park.
