Eau Claire, Wis. – On the eve of the 2015 home opener for the Eau Claire Express, the team today announced a new platform for game-day programs for its 11th season in the Northwoods League. Since the 2010 season, the Express has produced a game-day program that is updated for each home game with updated rosters, player information, along with team and league statistics. This program format will continue this summer but will be available free of charge and exclusively in an online format for the 2015 season.

The Express virtual game-day program will be available to fans in a variety of formats free of charge for the 2015 season. Fans wishing to have a hard copy of the program to bring to home games will have the ability to print it at home by visiting the Express website. On this web page, there will be a cover photo of the program for the next home game that is linked to a printable PDF file. In addition, all previous game programs will be featured on this page so any previous game’s book can be accessed. Anyone preferring to view the program on a mobile phone or tablet simply has to download the “Issuu” app which can be found in your device’s application store. Once the application is downloaded, the Eau Claire Express can be searched to find programs from any home game during the season. While this new format allows the book to be available at no cost, it also represents a more efficient process that will allow for additional updated information each game.

“We found in the past five years that we spent a lot of time printing programs, which really limited the amount of time we could designate to updating information each game,” Express General Manager Andy Neborak stated. “We feel that the time spent printing the books can instead be focused on providing a higher quality product for Express fans to get to know their team better than in past years.”

In addition to the virtual game-day program page on the Express website, there will be links found in each game recap posted on the Express homepage so that fans can easily access the program. Leading up to each home game, the link to the printable PDF format of the program will be found on Express Facebook and Twitter pages. Fans wishing to obtain a simple roster with updated statistics will be able to pick up this information at the Satellite Six Fan Information Desk at all home games while supplies last.

The Express opened their 11th season of play in the Northwoods League yesterday in Thunder Bay. The team returns to Eau Claire for its home opener tomorrow, May 28, versus the Duluth Huskies. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30. The night’s sponsors are Mid-West Family Broadcasting-Eau Claire and Lien & Peterson Architects, Inc. The first 500 fans will receive 2015 magnet schedules at the front gates. The entire 2015 season is sponsored by Marshfield Clinic.
