Lakeshore puts up runs in final three frames to earn six inning win
The Eau Claire Express ran out of luck, time and innings on Monday night as rain with lightning shortened their game against the Lakeshore Chinooks at Kapko Park. The Chinooks took the game by a score of 3-0.
The Express collected five total hits and only had one runner in scoring position all game.
Erich Uelmen started for the Express and earned his first loss. He went 4.1 innings and gave up five hits and two runs, both earned. He issued four walks while striking out four as well.
The Express end the road trip with a 2-3 record. They now return home for a 5-game home stand at Carson Park starting tomorrow. Tuesday's game against the Mankato MoonDogs is set for 6:35 p.m. first pitch. That game is sponsored by Novo Nordisk and there will be a sunscreen, sport bottle and jump rope giveaway.
