Eau Claire Express and Marshfield Clinic team up for Kids Day June 29
A special daytime game June 29 at Carson Park in Eau Claire, between the Eau Claire Express and Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, will feature a “Kids Day” theme that includes free admission, plus hot dog and soda, for each K-12 aged child in attendance.
Fans are encouraged to arrive at Carson Park early. Activities include kids’ athletic performance testing (vertical jump, 40-yard dash and rotational power ball throw) from 9-11:30 a.m., and an obstacle course, face painting, beanbag toss, Express inflatables, and player autograph sessions from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Express General Manager Spencer Larson said this special event offers a great opportunity for parents and grandparents to bring children to a fun-filled day at the ballpark.
“Marshfield Clinic, a longtime sponsor of the Express, plays a large role in the success of Express baseball,” Larson said. “We’re optimistic about having a large crowd for this, our third annual Express Kids Day event in Eau Claire.”
Marshfield Clinic will have a sports medicine physician, sports physical therapists and a sports performance coach present, and participating, during the day's activities.
As part of the game, all children will be invited to gather on the field for the seventh-inning stretch. For more information about Kids Day, contact the Eau Claire Express office, 715-839-7788.
