Eau Claire, Wis. – The Eau Claire Express are excited to welcome The Human Cannonball back to Carson Park this Thursday.  In a daring display of courage, passion and pride Dave “The Bullet” Smith will fire himself from a large cannon following the Express’ game that evening. This will be his first visit to Western Wisconsin since 2006.

The large cannon, trimmed in patriotic colors, will be placed in centerfield. The human cannonball will then launch himself, hurling through the air, before hopefully landing on a net placed near home plate. It’s a distance of at least 150 feet.

Dave “The Bullet” Smith is the most accomplished human cannonballer, having performed more than 5,000 successful launches over the last decade.  Over the years he has thrilled thousands at baseball games, carnivals, civic celebrations and more.

B-Roll and photos of previous cannonball attempts are available by contacting the Eau Claire Express at 839-7788. Interview opportunities with Dave Smith on Thursday, are also available.

The Express play the Mankato Moondogs on Thursday starting at 6:35pm. It’s a matchup that may very well be a preview of the Express’ home playoff game on Monday August 15th. Tickets are available by calling 839-7788 or online at eauclaireexpress.com.
