Wisconsin Rapids – Perfectgame.org has announced its awards for summer collegiate baseball, and Wisconsin Rapids Rafters’ star relief pitcher Garret Schilling of Xavier University was named to the third team. Schilling led the Northwoods League with 18 saves, striking out 40 in 28.1 innings, while only walking 8 batters.
Daulton Varsho, a graduate of Marshfield Area Senior High, and attending UW-Milwaukee, was named to the First Team, batting .321 and hitting 15 home runs, while also swiping 26 bases.
Steele Walker(Oklahoma) received Honorable Mention honors, batting.406 for the Woodchucks, hitting 7 home runs.
