Eau Claire, Wis.- With the thirteenth season of Express baseball just over a month away, the team announced today its promotional schedule highlights for the 2017 season. Firework Fridays will return this year each Friday night with a total of five Friday shows spread out throughout the summer. A few returning promotions include the Dueling Duo Piano Show making an appearance at the park for the third consecutive year and a Pre-planned Funeral Giveaway. New promotional items for 2017 include an Express Youth Jersey Giveaway and the ZOOperstars making an appearance at Carson Park. All the fun begins with the home opener on Saturday June 3rd with a 7:05pm first pitch. The night is packed full of entertainment starting at 5:30pm on the front plaza with the band Schuh Fly performing. Other family activities prior to the game include bobblehead ring toss, face painting, bean bag toss, and much more. The night finishes off with a fireworks show.
Five of the biggest promotional nights of the year will be highlighted in the popular 5-Game Pack that includes a grandstand or general admission ticket and all you can eat food/drink at each of the five nights for only $50. Food and beverage service begins 30 minutes prior to the scheduled first pitch in a private buffet line on the 1st base side and runs for 90 minutes. The dates of the 5-Game Pack are predetermined, but fans can exchange their tickets for any other game as long as this is done 24 hours in advance. Leading off the 5-Game Pack will be the first Fireworks Friday show of the summer on June 9th. Bucket Ruckus will be performing before and during the game. This night is the return of Princess Night at the ballpark with the appearance of several famous princesses. The princesses will be available for photos and autographs during the game. The next game in the pack is Tuesday, July 4th and will feature a postgame fireworks show. Friday July 21st is a preplanned funeral giveaway, as well as, another postgame fireworks show. Rounding out the 5-Game Pack will be an appearance by the famous ZOOperstars entertaining fans between innings. Friday: Postgame fireworks and exit coupon from Brickhouse Pub & Grub.

Special theme nights have been added to entertain fans of all ages. This year will feature 80’s night, Trax’s Birthday Bash, 2nd Anniversary Party for Trax and Trix, Princess Night, and Star Wars Night with the appearance of characters from the movies! The Express begin season number 13 in the Northwoods League on May 30 as they travel to Bismarck, N.D. for the inaugural series for the Bismarck Larks. They continue to Willmar to take on the Stingers for a two-game set before opening their home schedule at Carson Park on Saturday, June 3 versus the Mankato MoonDogs. First pitch of the home opener will be at 7:05 p.m. and the game will be followed by a fireworks show.
