EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Since joining the Northwoods League in 2005, the Eau Claire Express have had 104 players drafted by Major League Baseball organizations and continued their professional baseball careers. Throughout the 2017-2018 offseason, we will showcase these Express Alumni still playing professionally, either in independent baseball leagues, for Minor League Affiliates, or for Major League Baseball teams.

 

Dietrich Enns | LHP | Minnesota Twins (MLB)

Played for Express in 2010 | Drafted: Round 19 (2012, NYY)

Made his MLB debut on August 10, 2017 for the Minnesota Twins against the Milwaukee Brewers. Enns started the game on the mound and went 2.1 innings and allowed on earned run on five hits. He also recorded his first Major League hit on a single to shortstop in the top of the third inning.

The Eau Claire Express are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The 23-year-old summer collegiate league is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
