Eau Claire, WI – For the final time in the 2018 season, the Eau Claire Express (13-16) donned the black uniforms with orange accents and took the field away from Carson Park. In the Sunday afternoon game, the Express fell to the Duluth Huskies (21-9) by a final score of 6-2.

Both Express runs came in the 3rd inning. Spencer Myers (Notre Dame) lead off with a single and advanced to second on a single by Adam LaRock (MATC). Nick Brueser (Stanford) came up with the big hit, driving both runners in on a 2 RBI single.

Rece Dietrich (Minnesota-Duluth) got the start for the Express. The sophomore tossed 4 innings, giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks. Isaiah Davis (Fresno State) received the loss after giving up four runs, two earned, on four hits. Noah Sifrit (Oklahoma State) tossed a scoreless two innings to finish the game. He recorded one strikeout.

Eau Claire will return home on Monday, August 6th. It is a double header against the Stingers and you can Win Bill’s Grill! Enter for a chance to win Express owner Bill Rowlett’s Grill!
