Eau Claire Express Postgame Recap:
A pitching battle once again was in play as between both teams tonight, only ___ hits were allowed. With that said, however, the Express racked up ___ of them in the _____ effort over the Mud Puppies. Within this momentous pitching, battle stood out Aurora’s Nick Malmberg pitched 6 full innings allowing only 2 hits and no runs. In an assisting effort, Creighton’s Kaleb Carpenter, St. Cloud State’s Isaiah Katz, and Winona State’s Nick Herold combined for 3 innings pitched, allowing ___ hits as a group. Overall, a very impressive outing for the Express pitchers tallying a total of ___ strikeouts.
On the flip side, the batting was held to a minimum altogether as not even an actual RBI was tallied by the team as a passed ball drove home Madison Tech’s Jake Nelson for the only run of the game.
Put together, the Express got the job done for their 3rd win of the season. We hope to carry that momentum into the Thursday and Friday 5 game series ender versus the Waterloo Bucks.
