Eau Claire, WI– Express lose their first game in the 2nd half

Eau Claire Express Postgame Recap:

Another tough outing for the Express tonight as we fall to the Huskies here at Carson Park. The bats were rolling here and there, but even a late 9th inning surge wasn’t enough to push the boys in orange to a win.

On the pitching side of things, only 2 pitchers saw the mound, but between the 2, 8 runs were scored on 9 hits. In addition, 5 walks were issued, which of course, didn’t help the cause too much.

Batting, the 8 hit charge was led by Ventura’s Anthony Chavez, Nova Southeastern’s Alejandro Macario, and Stanford’s Carter Graham, who each had their fair share of contributions. Although the batting stats were similar between the two teams, the Express just didn’t put the hits together in orderly time, and with that, fell for the first game of the 2nd half.

From here, we go on the road to face the Huskies in Duluth tomorrow and stay on the road until we finally get back to Carson Park Monday, July 12th, to face off against the Willmar Stingers.
